Omb meets with Azeri diaspora in Ukraine

Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova met with visiting representatives of Azerbaijan's diaspora in Ukraine and members of the Ukraine-Azerbaijan Congress, press service of the Ombudsman Office said.

Suleymanova informed the guests about the socio-economic situation in the country.

She spoke of the history of Azerbaijan's relationship with Ukraine, saying that ties between the two countries have strengthened during the years of independence and reached the level of strategic partnership.

The Ombudswoman also stressed the important role both countries' presidents played in development of the bilateral relations.

The guests said the Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations are rapidly developing.

They expressed their wish to hold a congress of the Azerbaijani youth in Ukraine.

Elmira Suleymanova said Azerbaijan's Ombudsman Office is cooperating with a number of CIS member states including Ukraine. AzerTAg
