She strongly criticized steps taken by the Russian administration against Georgia at the third meeting of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly in Chisinau on Sunday.
"The current situation in the Russia-Georgia relations, naturally, worries all GUAM countries. Each of them thinks that the crisis must be resolved," Burdzhanadze said.
Her appeal did not receive a desired response, though. Moldovan Speaker Marian Lupu, Azerbaijani Speaker Oktai Asadov and Ukrainian Vice-Speaker Adam Martynyuk said that GUAM countries should primarily intensify trade and economic cooperation.
