Farhad Aliyev's detention prolonged for six more months

Court of Appeal headed by Judge Rizvan Safarov considered the appeal against the decision of Nasimi District Court on prolonging former Economic Development minister Farhad Aliyev's detention for six more months.

The appeal was not met and the decision was kept in force, the Court told the APA.

Aliyev was arrested on October 19 last year and was charged on Criminal Code article 179 (embezzlement and misuse), article 28.220 (mass unrests attempt), article 278 (seize and hold the power by force) and article 308 (abuse of authority).
