Azeriturk Women Unity leader Tenzile Rustemkhanli said they did not choose right persons from Azerbaijan to participate in the meeting and sent a letter to Turkish Prime Minister Rajab Tayyib Erdogan.
As APA reports, the meeting invited supporters of Soros and orange revolution activists.
The chairwoman said TUDEV (Friendship, Brotherhood and Cooperation of Turkish-speaking States and Communities) did not take into account the TCDA (Turkey Cooperation and Development Agency) list and invited whom it liked.
"TUDEV leader Abdulhalig Chay was against the then President Heydar Aliyev’s policy. Now he invites those, who want to overthrow Ilham Aliyev, to the meeting where the president will also take part. We want those who support Turkey to be invited to the meeting. I protest against it and will not attend the meeting," she said.
"Sherg" paper Editor-in-chief Akif Ashirli blamed Turkish government for such an invitation.
"I also blame Turkish ambassador Turan Morali," he said.
The parliamentarian Gudret Hasanguliyev said they should invite those who support Turkey and regrets the situation. He thinks the government should interfere with the problem.
Parliamentarians Igbal Aghazadeh and Penah Huseyn were also invited by Abdulhalig Chay. Penah Huseyn said he has not decided whether to participate in the meeting.
Azerbaijan State Commission for Azerbaijanis Abroad is unaware of the participants because they are not among the organizers.
The TCDA said they do not deal with organizing of the meeting.
