New Norwegian ambassador to be appointed

The Kingdom of Norway will appoint a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Steinar Gil told the APA Norwegian ambassador to Turkey Hans Wilhelm Longva, who was nominated to Azerbaijan, later on appointed to Syria as he is a specialist on the Middle East. Longva will take up his duties in a week.

Ambassador Steinar Gil's tour of duty expires next month. The Embassy will remain without an ambassador for some period.
