A. Konchalovsky: "Heydar Aliyev - the Great National Hero and example for many heads of world countries"

June 26 the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress initiated display of the documentary "Burden of Power. Heydar Aliyev" produced by the known Russian director of theatre and cinema, the national actor of the Russian Federation Andrey Konchalovsky in the "Baku" cinema in Moscow.

The film, "Burden of power. Heydar Aliyev" narrates about the many-sided life and titanic activity of the national leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev, his role in history of Soviet Union and independent Azerbaijan, AzerTAg reports.

Representatives of the Azerbaijan Diaspora and the Russian public have apprehended the picture with huge interest. Andrey Konchalovsky has constructed film on the key moments of modern epoch, having added with author's comments.

This has allowed spectators to understand more deeply original scale of the personality of Heydar Aliyev and to estimate his huge contribution to history, development of the Soviet Power, becoming and development of statehood of Azerbaijan.

Speaking to the journalists, the well-known director has emphasized: "It is necessary, that memory of such great people has remained for ever. I do all that any person could understand, in what country he lived, which people they were. Certainly, too much has not entered into the film, but we considered as the main thing to show Heydar Aliyev's role, of this great person of the Soviet history."

"He is the great national hero and in general, an example for many heads in any country of the world. He is one of those who helped to build greater country, greater power. He has made much for history of Azerbaijan and Russia, and Russia should not forget about its neighbors. It is a film about personality whom you will find not in all republics," A. Konchalovsky said.

A. Konchalovsky also expressed hope, that the film about Heydar Aliyev would be widely shown in Azerbaijan and Russia, and also translated on various languages, in any case, into the languages of the countries, which have signed the "Contract of the Century".
