The trial of ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and his seven co-defendants is going to be over in Baghdad.

The chief prosecutor, Jaafar al-Mussawi, called for execution of Saddam, (his half-brother) Barzan al-Tikriti and (former vice-president) Taha Yassin Ramadan.
The prosecutor also asked for sentencing other defendants to long-term imprisonment.
The defendants are accused of committing crimes against mankind. The trial will be continued with defence lawyers speech and testimony by the defendants July 10, APA reports.
