Afshar Suleymani's cousin arrested among Azerbaijani journalists in Iran

He said the Ambassador's cousin Behzad Khosrovani was prosecuted by the Iranian security forces for his contributing articles of national spirit to the newspaper.

"Behzad Khosrovani is one of the prominent journalists in Ardabil and his articles are read by the people with great interest. During the mass demonstrations in South Azerbaijan, he was detained by the Iranian government forces facing the charges of calling the people to stand against the authorities in Ardabil. I have good relations with Khosrovani as we have contributed to the same newspaper and I know well that he is Afshar Suleymanis's cousin," Ali Suleymani said.

Saying that he does not know where Khosrovani is held now, Ali Suleymani said besides the Ambassador's cousin, ten more Azerbaijani journalists are detained.
