Lithuanian President visits Sangachal Terminal

The President was welcomed by first vice-president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Khoshbakht Yusifzade and BP vice-president Michael Townshend.

According to AzerTAg, President of Lithuania was informed about the large-scale projects that have been implemented in Azerbaijan since 1994.

At the Terminal's Caspian Energy Center, Valdas Adamkus watched the film narrating on accomplishments of the oil strategy in Azerbaijan, terminal facilities and Caspian hydrocarbon reserves.

On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, SOCAR vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh gave the Lithuanian President a gift signifying Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

President toured the Sangachal terminal by bus and then, familiarized himself with the operations of the control unit.

Following the visit to the Sangachal terminal, President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and first lady of Lithuania Alma Adamkiene toured Icheri Sheher (Inner City), historical part of Baku.
