COE sitting in Strasbourg

Third sitting of the Council of Europe head Committee on press and communication services was held in Strasbourg. Deputy head of the socio-political department of Resident Administration Nazim Isayev represented the Republic.

In action, discussed was special plan of actions on raise of efficiency of activity of the Committee, exchanged were views on bringing the national legislation on mass media in line with the European standards, ensuring independence of public services of casting, on programs of assistance and technical cooperation, being realized by the Council of Europe in the sphere of media, and other questions, AzerTAg reports.
