Romania plans to join new GUAM

Romania plans to join the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, said Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nicolae Ureche.

"In the event it joins GUAM, Romania will contribute its experience as a NATO member and in the future as a European Union member," Ureche said at a press conference in Baku on Wednesday, Interfax reports.

Romania has been negotiating to join GUAM following its transformation, he said.
