Mahmud Mammadguliyev: "Azerbaijan doesn't consider quitting the CIS"

"Azerbaijan government thinks that the CIS and regional organizations have not yet achieved their aims and they need to be reformed."

"The CIS needs to be improved and developed," deputy foreign minister Mahmoud Mammadguliyev told journalists.

He said that Ukraine and Georgia are dissatisfied with the activity of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and they are considering quitting the alliance.

"Azerbaijan's quitting the CIS is not on the agenda. It tries to boost the role of the CIS," the deputy minister said.
