Korean President to meet 4 ministers

President of the Republic of Korea Roh Moo-hyun will visit Baku due to invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, May 10-12.

Charge d'affaires of Korea to Azerbaijan, Lew Kwang-chul has held press conference related to President's visit, APA reports.

He evaluated the visit significant factor for Korea Azerbaijan relations' new stage. The diplomat has stated that Korean President will be accompanied by foreign Minister and Trade Minister, Industry and Natural resources Minister, Transport and Construction Minister, and Communication Technologies Minister.

On the first day of the visit, Roh Moo-hyun will meet with ethnic Koreans living in Azerbaijan. Presidents' visit will be held May 11 in private, then with participation of delegation. Korean President will meet with Milly Majlis (parliament) Chairman Ogtay Asadov. Declaration reflecting principles of Azerbaijan Korean relations will be signed, besides it, some documents are expected to be signed among some organizations.

The documents will cover cultural, aviation, energetic, information technologies, and construction fields. Replying the questions, the diplomat said of his countries concern to Azerbaijani oil sector, first stage of cooperation to be completed in "Inam" deposit, and within President's visit framework, protocol of expectances is expected to be signed between Korea and SOCAR.

Taking a stance on Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Lew Kwang-chul said of his country's recognizing territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and supports the conflict resolution in peaceful way.

The diplomat said that his country and Japan had territorial problem on Tokto Island. President of Korea Roh Moo-hyun will leave Baku for United Arab Emirates May 12.
