PM visits Vilnus

Delegation of Azerbaijan led by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has left for Vilnius for participation in summit of Heads of states and governments of Baltic and the Black Sea region.

As AzerTAg reports, members of the Lithuanian government greeted Premier of Azerbaijan at the International Airport of the Lithuanian capital.

In the summit to take place in Vilnius May 4-5 on the initiative of the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and the President of Poland Leh Kachinsky, also will take part heads of the European Union and NATO.

The motto of the Vilnius summit is "General Vision of the General Good Neighborhood" reflects searches of cooperation ways of various European countries and their population in the field of science, culture, business and policy and etc.

At summit it is expected to discuss the changes, which have occurred after expansion of the European Union and NATO, and also prospects of strengthening of democracy in region.

On the eve of summit, various discussions with participation of NGO experts and representatives, and also meetings of intellectuals and representatives of youth of regions will be conducted.

During the summit, Premier Artur Rasizade is to meet with the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas, Speaker of Lithuanian Seym, high representative of the European Union on the general foreign policy and the policy of safety Javier Solana, the President of Romania Traian Basescu, the president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.

The Head of Azerbaijan Government will also meet representatives of Lithuanian business circles.
