Turkish President visits Azerbaijan

On Tuesday Turkish President Ahmet Nejdet Sezer arrived in Baku with a two-day official the visit program starts with a tribute at the Cemetery of Martyrs and late former President Heydar Aliyev's tomb.

At Heydar Aliyev International Airport the eminent guest was welcomed by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Turan Moraly, and military of the Turkish embassy, Seyhan Ceyhan, and many senior state and government officials.

An official meeting of the Turkish President, talks between the heads of states, as well as talks in large with the participation of the Turkish delegation are on agenda. In the end of the talks the Turkish and Azerbaijani presidents, Sezer and Ilham Aliyev, will give a news conference. He is also to visit the parliament and hold a meeting with Speaker Oktay Asadov.

A solemn reception will be given in the evening in the honor of the Turkish leader.

On 5 April Sezer is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and to visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
