Communications Minister met with US Ambassador

The Minister talked about meetings to take place during his visit to USA with the US Ambassador to our country Reno Harnish, APA informed.

As APA was informed from the press-service of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, views were exchanged at the meeting with the US Ambassador on the Minister's visit to USA to take place in July, signing of a memorandum between the sides during the visit, Minister's meeting with IT companies of USA, invitation of US companies to take part in establishment of technoparks in Azerbaijan and privatization of communication enterprises in Azerbaijan and other issues.

The Ambassador stressed the significance of a grant agreement concluded between Azerbaijan and the US Trade and Development Agency. The American diplomat characterizing Mr.Abbasov as a minister implementing reforms for the best future, highly valued works carried out in the Ministry. He also thanked Mr.Abbasov for solution of problems of the CATEL Company, which is an Azerbaijan-USA joint venture.

Mr.Abbasov wished success to the US Ambassador in his future career and noted that our country is interested in strengthening of cooperation with US companies operating in the IT field.
