Samad Seyidov: "Meeting was positive for Azerbaijan"

Monitoring committee of Parliament Assembly meeting was held on Wednesday.

Azerbaijani delegation participated in the meeting and the main object of discussion was holding by-elections on May 13 in the areas of abolition of elections results.

Samad Seyidov, the chief of the delegation, said that there were discussions about the elections on May and the works being done for elections. The participation of opposition in the elections on May is expected and their coming to the parliament will be valued as a positive and step forward between European Council and Azerbaijan.

He said that in working plan mentioned involving of observers to elections from European Council and other international organization, bilateral cooperation with election related organizations, organizations of European Council and with experts.

He informed that the investigations of previous elections would find their results. The discussion about Election Code was in agenda.
