New Deputy Minister of Economic Development appointed

"Niyazi Safarov has been appointed the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan by the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev," Heydar Babayev, the Minister of Economic Development, announced on Thursday.

So far, there was only one Deputy Minister for economic development at the Ministry – Mikayil Jabbarov, Trend reports.

Until recent appointment, Safarov, 47, has been Deputy Head of the Legislation and legal expertise issues department of the Azerbaijani President's Office (since 1992). He is lawyer and graduated from the Baku State University.
