"Talat Pasha Organization" to protest against recognition of "Armenian genocide" in Germany

16 February 2006 [17:38] - TODAY.AZ
"Talat Pasha Organization" led by ex-president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Rauf Denktash, and Turkish left-wing party leaders Doghu Perinchek, Vural Savash and other well-known figures will stage a demonstration in Berlin on 18 March.

The goal of the demonstration is to influence the German parliament to annul its bill recognizing the so-called "Armenian genocide" of 1915. The protest action will be launched March 18 with a huge demonstration in Berlin, APA informs.

On 15 March, 3 days before the protest action, Denktash will lay a wreath on the site where Talat Pasha was killed by Dashnak terrorist Sagomon Teyleryan.

"Talat Pasha Conference" will be held in Berlin on March 19. The conference aims to demonstrate the power of Turkey to the West. About 1000 people from Turkey will participate in the protests.

However, the appeals of the protesters caused dissatisfaction among Germans. The German Ambassador to Turkey Volf Rutart Bor informed the Foreign Ministry that threats against German authority are unacceptable. He objected to the protesters' statement" "If western countries don't want their capitals to be bombed, they must put an end to injustice and biased approaches towards Turkey."
