New Amb to Russia claims to be of benefit to further development of co-op

Polad Bulbuloglu accepted with high level of responsibility his recent appointment as the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia.

"Azerbaijan and Russia have lived within one country for many years, and friendly ties connect us each other. Our cultures actively interact and enrich," the Minister underlined, Trend reports.

Noting his significant efforts for the stringing bilateral cooperation in the culture sphere between Azerbaijan and Russia during his post as the Minister, Bulbuloglu stressed that the Ambassador is not only charged in the development of humanitarian relations.

"Now we will penetrate into the economic issues and details of political interaction," he underlined.

According to Bulbulgolu, Moscow is not a "strange city" for him. "Here I have many any friends. As the head of the diplomatic mission I could be of benefit to further development of cooperation between the two countries," the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia said.

61-year old Bulbuloglu was appointed the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia was appointed on Monday evening at the decree by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The head of state granted him with a rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Prior to recent appointment Bulbuloglu has been in the post of Culture Minister for 18 years.
