New CEC staff will be formed by the end of December

New staff of Central Election Commission might be formed by the end of December, said Natig Mammadov, the CEC secretary.

Natig Mammadov said that he does not expect substantial changes in the CEC composition and noted that new staff of the CEC had to be elected at the first sitting of Milli Majlis (parliament) by the Election Code.

"There is not any concrete item in Election Code concerning ending the activity of the CEC. So the CEC makes use of its competence currently under the law. At present preparatory actions are conducted to grant mandates to the elected persons," said Mammadov.
