EU urges Azeri authorities to investigate police actions on November 26 and punish responsible

"The European Union is concerned about disperse of the 26 November oppositional rally by the security forces," reads a statement of the European Union spread by the embassy of Great Britain to Azerbaijan.

EU shares the position of the head of the OSCE Baku office Maurisio Pavesi concerning the events and calls authorities of Azerbaijan to investigate actions of police and take necessary measures.

The structure also called the opposition to show restraint and stay within borders of law. The authority was recommended to ensure freedom of assembly. EU expressed its concern about the CEC presenting results of the elections to the Constitutional Court without finishing investigation of all complaints concerning the elections.

EU informed that it is investigating the decision of the Constitutional Court. EU called the OSCE Baku office to continue its monitoring of freedom of assembly situation in Azerbaijan.
