After waiting on the phone for quite a while Day.Az correspondent was able to contact Rasul Guliyev who finally picked up his mobile phone. In a very short conversation he gave out only one comment: “It is all lie and soon I will explain it all”. After that he hung up the phone and farther attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.

Few minutes ago we recieved an information that Guliyev who planned to board the flight from Simferopol to Baku was arrested today in Simferopl, Ukraine.

Interpol issued the arrest warrant on a request by the authorities of Azerbaijan, where he is wanted on charges of embezzlement, according to a statement from the Ukrainian interior ministry cited by Interfax.

"Mr. Guliyev was arrested by airport police and is currently being held at the airport," the head of the local police unit, Andry Ivansov, told AFP news agency.

At this moment there is no exact information regarding farther plans of his extradition to Azerbaijan.
