“Azadlig” bloc candidates will start a hunger strike

APA was informed by first deputy leader of Musavat Vurgun Ayyub. According to him, the decision on going on a hunger strike was made in the last sitting of Board of Chairmen of “Azadlig” bloc.

That is due to the unsatisfactory pre-election situation, prevention of freedom of peaceful assembly. V.Ayyub stated that they will demand improving the pre-election situation and guarantee of the freedom of peaceful assembly in the hunger strike.

Greater majority of the candidates to deputy position of the bloc will join the hunger strike. He said of the party leaders to participate in the strike too.

However, V.Ayyub said that the place and date of the strike have not been defined yet: “We are likely to go on hunger strike by tomorrow if we decide the place of the strike. We shall start the strike by 1 October anyway. As for the number of the hunger strikers it will depend on the place of the strike”.
