Ilham Aliyev received Chinese ambassador Chzhan Siun on completion of his diplomatic mission

President Ilham Aliyev today received extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Peoples’ Republic of China (PRC) to Azerbaijan Mr. Chzhan Siun on completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
APA was informed from the President’s Press Service.

Ambassador Chzhan Siun stressed that his activity in Azerbaijan coincided with the period of dynamic development of the relations in all spheres between our countries: “When I come to tour country in 2002 there was only 1 Chinese student here, but now there are 180 of them. The volume of bilateral trade relations was $15 million; it has reached to $300 million now. Investments of China in Azerbaijan cost $2 million now it is nearly $300 million”.

Stating the cooperation between our countries is developing not only in political and economical level but also other spheres, including humanitarian fields, the ambassador noted that strong development of the economy of Azerbaijan will provide opportunity for China to establish further cooperation here.

Addressing the Ambassador, President Aliyev thanked him for his activity, and underlined his merits in development of socio-economic links between two counties, in rising trade turnover and capital investment of the Chinese companies. Expressing his satisfaction of the development of the mutual relations between our countries, the head of state stated that his position coincide with the position of head of China in most cases and there is mutual support in the questions concerning Taiwan and Tibet, territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Stressing that China is in dynamic development, the President expressed his confidence that, China will further increase its potential and will further develop its positions as an important subject of the international relation: “We are very satisfied of this as friends of China. I hope our political, economical and cultural relations will further develop dynamically and the volume of the capital investment of China to our country trade turnover will increase in future”.
