24 May 2005 [09:13] - TODAY.AZ
A joint commission of the Press Council and Main Police Office of Baku City will be formed in connection of investigating the fact about beating the reporter of "Ayna-Zerkalo" newspaper Farid Temirkhanli.
This was informed to APA by the chairman of the Press Media Aflatun Amashov.

According to his words, primary agreement was obtained with MBPBC for forming joint commission. A.Amashov informed that the purpose of investigating the fact is to find out why the events were generated. "We are troubled with that when F.Temirkhanli was beaten he had special clothes on him distributed by Press Council to the journalists for participating in the meetings. These clothes guarantee the inviolability of the journalist. We want the problem to be investigated".

We should note that the worker of the mentioned paper was beaten by the police employees in the meeting held at the initiative of the Musavat, PFPA (r) and ADP on May 21. As a result, F.Temirkhanli's jaw was put 4 sewing.
