A.Herkel: "Azerbaijan is the most complicated country among the member states of Council of Europe regards democratic development"

This was stated in his report to journalists by co-rapporteur of the monitoring group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe over Azerbaijan Anders Herkel.

A.Herkel stated that they will have meetings with journalists, ambassadors of CE member states and representatives of some opposition parties in the period while they are in our country and noted that the visit will last 3 days: "The matter of changes to Election Code hasn't yet been solved. We continue our work in this direction, and will announce the result on Wednesday evening".

Co-rapporteur stated that they denounce the oppression to journalists in Azerbaijan, the murder of Elmar Huseynov and noted that they hope these incidents to be specially investigated. A.Herkel did not state certain opinion about the establishment of Public Television.
