The number of members of New Azerbaijan Party reached to 359.709

In the report year, one of the main directions of the party was organizing election campaign of NAP members whose candidacies were nominated the elections to local self-governing organs. At the result of election campaign, 13155 party members gained the right to be represented in local self- governing organs of the country. This is 65% of municipality members over the country.

Increase of party members speedily was particularly stated in report year in the meeting. 31538 persons were admitted to the party during the year, at the result, the total number of NAP members reached to 359.709 persons. 42% of the members are women, 38.5 % are youths. In 2004 the party collected 2.318.905.729 manats membership fee, the expenses were 2.030.023.749 manats. Expenses estimate of NAP is keep of central and local organizations apparatus, financing of party ceremonies, and other expenses.

The matter of preparation of NAP to parliamentary elections of 2005 was also discussed in the meeting of Administrative Staff. Activity program of the party on parliamentary elections was confirmed after detailed exchange of opinions./APA/
