Some 170 terrorists of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, among whom were Armenian citizens, have been recently annihilated in Turkey, the Sabah newspaper quotes Interior Minister of Turkey, Idris Naim Sahin as saying on Thursday.

He said that half of 170 killed terrorists are foreigners. Along with Armenian citizens, they were also citizens of Iran, Syria, Iraq and Israel.

Sahin said that Turkey intends to fight against terrorism until the end and great successes have been already achieved in this direction.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
