Man campaigns to name baby 'Megatron' on Facebook

A man is campaigning to name his unborn son 'Megatron' after the Transformers antagonist.

The unidentified husband took to Facebook to start a page for his campaign, announcing that if he receives one million 'Likes', his wife will agree to the name.

The page has currently been 'Liked' more than 360,000 times.

The man wrote on the Facebook wall last Friday: "THIS NOT A JOKE! I REALLY want my son to be called Megatron... Why 1,000,000 likes? Well my wife thinks that it's not possible to get 1,000,000 likes & therefore was happy to agree to this challenge."

On Saturday, he posted: "YES, I will upload photos, a copy of the birth certificate & a big warm THANKYOU for your support once Megatron arrives into this world on 12th August 2011.

"I ask you all to take this VERY seriously. When I say this, I could not be any more serious."
