An Icelandic football team have become an internet sensation for celebrating their winning goals in a somewhat unique style.
Players of Stjarnan FC have become well-known outside their native country for their elaborate post-goal celebrations. Things took a turn for the surreal following their winning goal against Fylkir at the weekend. In a beautifully choreographed manoeuvre, striker Halldor Orri Bjornsson casts an imaginary fishing rod before 'reeling in' his team-mate.
The 'fish' was then picked up by several members of the team and held aloft as if he were a trophy, while another team-mate 'took a photo' for posterity. Other unusual goal celebration styles from the Icelandic team include an animated shooting spree, a ballroom dancing display and a marching band.
Their imagination has prompted comparisons with some of the most famous names in the game who became known for spectacular ways of marking entries on the scoresheet. Germany forward Jurgen Klinsmann was notorious for diving when he signed for Tottenham Hotspur, but he turned the criticism on its head by flinging himself headlong to the turf every time he hit the back of the net.
Peter Crouch's robot dance after scoring for England earned him cult status, while Liverpool's Robbie Fowler pretended to snort one of the white lines on the pitch as retaliation for taunts from rival fans.
