"New World Records" is a series of short news in pictures of the greatest world records. From the fattest man to the tallest woman, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Keep up with humanity's quest to reach new heights...and depths.
Using her body like a canvas, Isobel Varley, who turned 71 in 2009, is recognized as the most tattooed septuagenarian woman.
Varley, who spent more than $40,000 on tattoos, began her body
modification project in 1986, after visiting her first tattoo
convention. She says her fingers, toes and forehead were the most
painful parts to tattoo . . . and she's tattooed the parts of her body
that you can't show on TV.
