Both men and women’s uniforms are an integral part of the image of each successful company: looking good, impressive and neat.

Uniform can form an impressive image of a serious organization in the minds of customers. It might be strange, but people mostly judge about a company based on its staff appearance.

Uniforms are like a beacon of protection or ability to get help for people.

Studies show that ill people feel better when they see a doctor in a uniform next to them , than their family or relatives. To see a policeman in uniform walking along a dark solitary alley gives you a feeling of calm.

Office styles or work dresses create more serious atmosphere at work. You can try it yourself. You trust more in an employee wearing a suit and tie than another one in jeans and sweater.

Indeed, office style is primarily accurate, even a little rigor, focusing attention on suits of calm, and more often dark colors. It is also lack of abundance of accessories which express sexuality, frankness in comparison with screaming bright colors.

It is important not only to create a single uniform, but also take into account all aspects that may distract the customers: the staff’s makeup, hair and manicure. Indeed, customers’ attention may remain on the bright manicure and make-up of the staff and forget about their goal of referring to the company.

For many people, an employee’s strict and standard appearance shows his or her responsibility and professionalism. They claim that visiting such companies; they feel calm and believe that the employees can help them.

By the way, overseas studies have shown that the companies’ work efficiency is also increased by a common style. Then, staff works more cohesively, as a single organism.

Dress code in the work place does not distract employees’ attention to unnecessary things, allowing them to get concentrated on their job.

Of course, there will be time for gossip in firms where all are dressed up to standard. But, these discussions will not relate gossip material like the length of a colleague's skirt or her blouse or shoes.

Maryam Aliyeva, who is working for four years in the banking field, believes that wearing uniform has a very positive impact on the work process.

"It significantly helps us from financial point of view as we do not need expensive wardrobe,” she said smiling. “But uniform is really helpful in our work, all employees feel themselves on a par. Customers also look at all workers equally and are not distracted by their clothes.”

She agrees that uniform allows preserving their business style which the customers appreciate.

On the other hand, the style, size and color should suit everyone. In other words, the wrong uniform can backfire.

You will agree that in this case, specialists look not only respectable and prestigious, but also absurd and even ridiculous.

The “uniform” is a German word which was originally used to refer to circus workers. They wore the same clothing and served people during circus performances.

By the end of the 1920s, the U.S. airlines began to recruit girls as stewardess – a move which was forbidden before. It was a good marketing move and pretty, smiling girls discreetly dressed made good advertisement for the airlines.

Namely their uniforms attracted people to some extent that many girls dreamed to become a steward to put on the attractive clothes, forcing many to look them with envy.

However, in the 1970s the US’s airline Southwest Airlines experienced a crisis. One of the marketers turned the crisis into an opportunity. He decided to sew sexy uniforms for stewards.

For a short while, new attractive uniforms dramatically increased the sales of airline tickets.
