A sixth person has died from
wounds suffered after a Moscow man opened fire on Wednesday at a
pharmaceutical company, a hospital spokesman said,
RIA Novosti reported.
The spokesman said that although "doctors fought all night" to save him, the man died on Thursday in intensive care.
Dmitry Vinogradov, a 30-year-old lawyer at the company, allegedly shot
seven of his colleagues in northeastern Moscow about 10 a.m. Wednesday,
acting on what investigators have said was depression resulting from
unrequited love from a female colleague.
Five people – three men and two women – died on the spot, while the other two were sent to the hospital. Investigators, who have claimed Vinogradov drank for days before
embarking on the shooting spree, also plan to submit him for psychiatric
examination.
Vinogradov was detained shortly after the shooting. He reportedly published a manifesto detailing his hatred for humanity
just hours before the shooting, stating that the only way to make the
world better was to kill as many people as possible.
