Chinese restaurant uses robots to serve and entertain customers. A robot restaurant in China is delighting customers with its futuristic way of serving up food - just don't expect a personable service.
They are well trained, efficient and fast – and they won’t even expect a tip for their efforts.
This is 21st century customer service, courtesy of a team of robotic waiters and kitchen staff.
The Robot Restaurant has 18 mechanical employees, including ‘dumpling robot’, ‘noodle robot’ and ‘cooking robot’.
When customers walk in, ‘usher robot’ extends his arm and welcomes them with the greeting: ‘Earth person, hello!’
Once diners have placed their orders, the android contraptions get to work, before ‘robot waiter’ – running along tracks on the floor – carries dishes to the table.
Meals can even be delivered through the air, thanks to a suspended conveyor belt. When the plate reaches the correct table, mechanical arms lift the food off the belt and set it down in front of the amazed customer.
-clean employees are always guaranteed to be well presented and in the best of moods.
Entertainment is also provided, thanks to a singing robot, while an automated dog – which is allowed to sit on the tables – will help keep children occupied.
And when you find out the restaurant in Harbin, north-east China, even has a robot to do the mountains of washing up, you’ll probably want to take one home with you.
