Preliminary hearing of Eurovision national qualifying round participants ended in Azerbaijan

Preliminary hearing of participants of the national qualifying round of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest has today ended in Azerbaijan, Public TV said on Monday.

Some 119 participants submitted their applications to attend national qualifying round. The participants are divided into three groups.

Each participant performed two songs, and demonstrated demonstrate their vocal and stage ability. Those who pass to the next round will take part in the main national qualifying round and will compete for the first place to represent the country in a live broadcast on public television.

Official information will be provided about participants who passed to the main national qualifying round.

The jury of the national qualifying round will include presenters of Public television, "Eurovision" Song Contest commentators Leyla Aliyeva and Husniya Maharramova, musician Zahra Badalbeyli, singers Tunzale Agayeva and Natavan Sheykhova.
