Eldar Gasimov: Our victory at Eurovision Song Contest 2011 is whole Azerbaijani people's victory

The winners of Eurovision 2011 song contest Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal today laid a wreath at the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev in a park named after him.

Eldar Gasimov in an interview with journalists called their victory at this contest as the Azerbaijani people’s victory.

"We are glad about our victory. It is not only our victory, but also a victory of  Azerbaijani people. We are grateful to everyone for their support," he said.

The event was organized by the Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Ministry. It was attended by the Deputy Minister Intigam Babayev.
