A premiere of "Buta" movie held at Azerbaijan cinema

A premiere of "Buta" movie was held at Azerbaijan cinema. The film was produced by Azerbaijanfilm studio in conjunction with Butafilm film producing company.

The film reveals the story of a lonely seven-year-old boy, who lives with his grandmother at a high-mountain village. According to Azerbaijani historians, the buta design comes from ancient times of Zoroastrianism as an expression of essence of that religion and it became subsequently a decor element which is widely used in Azerbaijani culture and architecture. However buta is not only a pattern. It has a symbolic meaning as well.
