Moscow applauds Azeri musicians

Russian ministry of culture, Moscow State Philharmonic Hall and the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia organized a concert titled “Rhythms and Melodies of Transcaucasia”. The concert took place at Gnesin Academy of Music, Moscow.

The program featured outstanding musicians of South Caucasus, such as the People`s artist of USSR Zurab Sotkilava, opera singer Makvala Kasrashvili, People`s artist of Azerbaijan, tar player Ramiz Guliyev, Italian musician of Azerbaijan origin Yusif Eyvazov and Osipov Russian Academic State Folk Orchestra.

The concert was conducted by People`s Artist of Russia Professor Vladimir Andropov.
Ramiz Guliyev has performed works by Gara Garayev, Rauf Hajiyev, other composers as well as classical Azeri mugams.
