First ever song about Azerbaijani carpets composed

The first ever song about Azerbaijani carpets, one of the major national and cultural values, has been composed. The author of the lyrics is honored art figure of Azerbaijan Baba Vaziroglu. The songwriter is Kamal. A new piece of music has been performed by three Azerbaijani singers - Nazakat Teymurova, Aygun Bayramova and Mansum Ibrahimov.

"The idea of writing the song came after meeting with Head of Azyarilma LLC carpet factory Vidadi Mammadov. There are so many songs and poems glorifying the material and spiritual values of Azerbaijan. But we have created a song about carpet. A small piece of music will reflect the history, philosophy, unique beauty and regions where world-famous Azerbaijani carpets are created," Baba Vaziroglu said.
