Azeri conductor wins grand prix of Toscanini contest

Young Azerbaijani conductor Ayyub Guliyev has won the grand prix of the 9th Arturo Toscanini International Conducting Competition in Parma, Italy. The competition saw participation of 117 conductors from 35 countries. Guliyev beat Japanese Keiko Mitsuhashi in the final round to win the Giuseppe Sinopoli Fund`s award in addition to the grand prix.
