In accordance with the Azerbaijan President's 23 February 2010 decree, the International Music Festival to mark the 125th birthday of Uzeir Hajibeyli, great Azerbaijani composer, scholar, playwright, pedagogue and publicist will be held in Baku between on September 18 and 28.
The Festival will reportedly bring together such prominent musicians as Vladimir Spivakov, one of the world's best-known violinists and a highly regarded conductor, Amaltea music group (Switzerland), the CIS United Youth Symphonic Orchestra, T’ANG string quartet (Singapore), Turkey's Orfeon choir, pianist Nina Kogan and violinist Atish Bankas (Canada), Aleksander Gindin (Russia) and others.
The program of the festival includes concerts, exhibitions and other events.
