Beckham 'still shy about his posters'

The AC Milan and England star, who recently stepped down as the face of Armani underwear, told 10 magazine that posing for the photographs was a "daunting experience".

"I still feel quite shy when I see a poster or campaign like that," he explained.

"It was a daunting experience stripping off in front of a room of people but after a while you get used to it - although my mum still hasn't."

Last year, the 34-year-old footballer admitted that his children were initially confused by his underwear campaigns but "didn't mind" seeing him on billboards.

Cristiano Ronaldo took over from Beckham as the face of the Italian fashion line last year, with his first commercials appearing earlier this month.
