AFW strikes with its uniqueness

Truly one of the most diverse and colorful fashion shows - Azerbaijan Fashion Week is underway in Baku.

The second day of the fashion week saw fabulous collections by designers Yerlan Zholdasbek, Oksana Barkhatova, Comode, Gunel Ali, Uventa and Turkan Turkel Couture at the Stone Chronicle Museum , Trend Life reported.

The fashion show entitled ‘DASTAN’ was held in the Palace of the Shirvanshahs.

AFW showrooms are opened in the Stone Chronicle Museum and the Old City. Guests can buy trendy fashion style clothes presented at the shows. The fashion shows kick off at city's best venues, including  Fairmont Baku Flame Towers, the Stone Chronicle Museum and Icherisheher. 

Azerbaijan Fashion Week is held twice a year in November and May. More than 60 designers from Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, France and Spain participated in last four seasons.

The main purpose of the Week is to popularize growing fashion industry in Azerbaijan and give an opportunity to young and talented designers to show their work to the world. It's a place that gathers local and international buyers, press and fashion critics together.

The event is open for fashion experts, including buyers of fashion retail chains and shops, representatives of glossy international as well as local publications.
