The International Mugham Center continues to host a series of spectacular concerts and events to familiarize music lovers with young talents.
A concert of young tar players was co-organized by the Azerbaijan National Conservatory and TV channel "Culture", Day.Az reported.
The gala evening featured a short video about the creation tar (string instrument)and such famous Azerbaijani tar players as Sadigjan, Ahmed Bakikhanov, Gurban Primov, Bahram Mansurov, Firuz Aliyev, Agaselim Abdullayev, Adil Bagirov and others.
The tar, a long-necked plucked lute, is one of the most important musical instruments in Iran and the Caucasus. The tar is traditionally crafted and performed throughout Azerbaijan, and is depicted on the Azerbaijani national banknote of one manat nominal value.
Further, student Ibrahim Babayev performed Vasif Adigozalov`s "Baku" music piece on tar.
The "Nocturne No. 20" by F. Chopin was performed by Mirjavad Jafarov. Shamil Omerli thrilled the audience with "Prelude" by A. Melikov, while another young talent Rahila Magerramova performed "Boisterous dance" G. Vekilov.
"Zabul" mugam was performed by Shavet Mammadov, while Ismayil Zulfugarov amazed the spectators with beautiful performance of Bayaty-Shiraz.
In the end, all tar players performed S. Alesker’s "Perpetual motion".
