The Azerbaijan State Philharmonic after Muslim Magomayev will host a charity concert and master classes by the European Mediterranean Music Academy on September 22.

The concert will be held as part of the International Music Festival on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli between September 18 and 28 in Baku.

Azerbaijan’s State Symphonic Orchestra after Uzeyir Hajibayli headed by conductor of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Eyyub Guliyev will present new program.

The event will also be attended by Italian pianist Michele Campanella, Estonian violinist Miina Jarvi and the winner of the "Grammy” award, famous clarinetist Kinan Azmeh (Syria, the U.S.)

The performances will include Beethoven Piano concerto No 4, Gara Garayev Violin Concerto, Suite Clarinet Orchestra K. Azmeh and 7th Symphony "Yanardag" by French composer Pierre Tilua.

Born in 1885 in the heart of the ancient Azerbaijani Khanate of Karabakh -- Shusha -- Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s outstanding musical talent started a revolution in the Azerbaijani musical timeline.

He was the very musician to introduce an extraordinary innovation in the nation's music culture, to constantly refresh it, and adjust to modern tastes. He was a founder of an opera genre not only in Azerbaijan, but the East and created the first Muslim opera in the Islamic world.

His unique synthesis of Oriental and Western music significantly promoted the classical music traditions in the East and opened a page of classical music patterns.
