Famous jazz band to perform in Baku

The well-known American jazz quartet "Fourplay" will perform at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku on October 27.

Concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the musical group, will take place within the Baku International Jazz Festival.

The quartet "Fourplay" is one of the most successful bands playing in the style of smooth jazz.

The group consists of outstanding jazz musicians, who for a long and successful creative work won the recognition of the general audiences and achieved great success.

Exploring the limitless possibilities of jazz has allowed the quartet to evolve musically, drawing musical elements from a wide range of styles, to hone their own unique and innovative sound.

The band regularly creates new albums, attracting the attention of music lovers around the world and actively participates in tours and festivals.

The Baku International Jazz Festival is an annual jazz event and aims to showcase Azerbaijan's long-running attachment to the American-born art form, a connection first established in the country during the 1950s and 1960s, a time when jazz was outlawed by Soviet authorities.

Many famous musicians from many countries participate in the festival, including from Georgia, Portugal, Italy, Israel, the USA, Germany, Canada and Russia.
