Azerbaijan’s ancient city of Sheki gathered bikers from around the world to participate at the three-day International Caucasus Moto Fest.
The festival, held for the fourth time in Azerbaijan, wrapped up on August 30 at the Sheki Olympic Complex.
Bikers from the U.S., the UK, Turkey, Georgia, Croatia, Russia, and Iran among others attended the exciting event.
The first such festival in the Caucasus, the Moto Fest was co-sponsored by Harley Davidson, “Baku HOG Azerbaijan,” Sheki city executive power, the Culture and Tourism Ministry, Youth and Sports Ministry, and the Chingiz Mustafayev Foundation.
During the day bikers showed off their talents, while at night they enjoyed thrilling concert programs.
The organizers made sure that the event was a truly creative one, conducting interesting contests for the best local hand-built motorcycles, motorcycles with the greatest power, and others.
In addition, the festival included a motorcycle parade, motorcycle exhibits, the opportunity to test drive some of the bikes, and motorcycle competitions.
Biker from UK Michael stressed that he was impressed by the scale of the event. “You have wonderful country,” he exclaimed.
At the closing ceremony, the organizers organized a special program dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of Sheki-born Azerbaijani National Hero Chingiz Mustafayev.
TV reporter Chingiz Mustafayev filmed and documented scenes of the atrocities committed by the Armenian Armed Forces during the Nagorno-Karabakh War, and fell on duty covering the battles in 1992. The program was a positive memorial of his legacy.
Guests of the festival then enjoyed a concert program complete with singers, DJs and other cultural events.
The festival was also remembered for its fun and exciting show of tribute bands for world-famous singers and groups like Lady Gaga, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Kiss.
The world-famous Natig’s Rhythm Group also gave a spectacular performance, providing an unforgettable evening for the audience.
