Unique project presented to European Games’ guests

Azerbaijan’s State Theater of Young Spectators presented a unique project - the English playwright, screenwriter, film director, winner of the "Oscar" Martin McDonagh’s performances especially for the guests of the first European Games.

"Trilogy linear" which will last until June 24, brings together three plays of "Beauty Queen", "Skull of Connemara" and "The Lonesome West". Theatrical figures of Great Britain and Azerbaijan were working on the project.

He performance is realized under a joint project of the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan, the State Theater of Young Spectators and the representation of the British Council in Azerbaijan.

Producer is Jan Willem van den Bosch, the art director - Lisa Cook, lighting designer - Michael Man?n, director – Ayla Osmanova, Sarvar Aliyev and Gulnara Hajiyeva.

Such honored Azerbaijani artists as Naib Allahverdiyev, Shafag Aliyeva, Gurban Ismailov, Elshan Rustamov, actors Zulfiya Alguseynova, Asya Atakishiyeva, Vugar Mammadaliyev, Rasim Jafarov, Manaf Dadashov, Ramil Mammadov, Anar Safiyev and Vusal Mehraliyev participate in the performance.

Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which will take place on June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
