The American Center in Baku held an opening ceremony of the American Days Festival on March 10.
The festival will entertain Azerbaijan from March 10 to 16. The American Days showcases the American culture and aimed at further rapprochement between the two countries.
The event will show the diversity of the American culture to local audience, newly appointed U.S. Ambassador Robert Cekuta said.
"These days will widely present dance, music, cinema and cuisine of the U.S. I hope everyone will enjoy the event, and look forward to closer cooperation," he said.
The opening ceremony saw an art exhibition dedicated to the friendship between Azerbaijan and the U.S., as well as American dance, music and cuisine.
The American Days will present live music, art exhibitions, Native American dance performances, film screenings, and activities for kids in Baku and regions of the country.
The visitors will have a chance to enjoy Break of Reality band’s music, learn about education in the U.S. and much more. All events are free and open to the public.
